Mash Up Blog

Blog about how you could use mashups at your library.

This mashup really got me excited as I waited for it to upload.I created a Jigsaw of "Sawn Rocks" a local tourist site.Very pleased with the result.Cant wait to do more mash ups.
These mash ups would be a great asset to our library. We will be able to make calendars, jigsaws and maps to name a few.The great thing about this is that you can make any of these mashups using family photos.

Tagging, folksonomies, del.icio.us and LibraryThing

Create a blog post about your experience and thoughts about using this tool in libraries. Can you see the potential of this tool for research assistance? Or just as an easy way to create bookmarks that can be accessed from anywhere?

I think this is a very rewarding tool that would be helpful in our library. It has great potential for researching various subjects .I found it very exciting to be learning something new each time I sign in.Technology has come a long way for me.I love searching for new books and dvds so this has helped a lot.

Answer Boards And Social Searching

Consider is there a role for your library in “slamming the boards”? In what ways might your customers like to rate or review items in the collection or services you offer? Share your thoughts in your blog.

Our library is a small town community library. Most of our borrowers prefer the face to face contact with librarians.I have seen answer boards on the internet before and think this is an ideal way for people to ask questions and get great results. But in same circumstances I think that visiting a library and asking librarians questions is also very worthwhile.

Wiki

Create a blog post about your findings.

I found Wiki to be a very valuable and interesting website that allows you to search for almost anything on the internet.
